HAPPY MAY DAY!

I remember when I was young. At school we would make paper "baskets" to hold flowers...we would give them to our Moms or to a neighbor.

When given to the neighbor we would put hang the basket on the door handle...knock or ring the door bell...and then run away so they wouldn't know who put it there. See this blog for a cute idea to do...HERE.

I also remember in Gym class - perhaps 1st-3rd grade - we learned how to dance the Maypole...then we would go outside [weather permitting] and actually dance the Maypole. It was fun to do something different for Gym and it made the day special. I don't believe the school does this anymore. I wonder why?
Do you remember doing anything for May Day?

Tomorrow 'll be the happiest day of all the glad new year.''

Autism is a complex neurobiological disorder that typically lasts throughout a person's lifetime. It is part of a group of disorders known as autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Today, 1 in 150 individuals is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined. It occurs in all racial, ethnic, and social groups and is four times more likely to strike boys than girls. Autism impairs a person's ability to communicate and relate to others.
