I watched the Royal Wedding

Watching the Royal Wedding was great. I remember watching when Diana and Charles wed and when Diana died... Her children have grown up to be very special individuals.  She would have been proud of both her sons; I and I pray that the Price William's new wife will be happy in her marriage unlike her mother-in-law was.  It will be interesting to see how they progress with their lives and their royal duties.

I wanted to share this blogsite I just found... I really like her style.  Girl In Air.  Her tutorials are good. I enjoyed her crafts with the washers and mason jars.

I just recently place Crafty Caring Friends on Facebook (lets hope that I don't get hacked!, I hear that FB is having a problem with that).   I am just putting links I like there.

I feel a need to pray for all of you out there - right now; my heart is telling me this and I'm not sure what for... for whom; I don't know but I know you know who you are.  Please believe me - I know God knows who I am praying for... Blessings to all of you, my friends.

Dear Lord of Mercy and Father of Comfort,

You are the One I turn to for help in moments of weakness and times of need. I ask you to be with your servant in this illness. Psalm 107:20 says that you send out your Word and heal. So then, please send your healing Word to your servant. In the name of Jesus, drive out all infirmity and sickness from his body.

Dear Lord, I ask you to turn this weakness into strength, suffering into compassion, sorrow into joy, and pain into comfort for others. May your servant trust in your goodness and hope in your faithfulness, even in the middle of this suffering. Let him be filled with patience and joy in your presence as he waits for your healing touch.

Please restore your servant to full health, dear Father. Remove all fear and doubt from his heart by the power of your Holy Spirit, and may you, Lord, be glorified through his life.

As you heal and renew your servant, Lord, may he bless and praise you. All of this I pray in the name of Jesus Christ.

A Prayer for the Body

Thank You, God, for the body You have given me. Most of the time I take my health for granted. I forget how fortunate I am to live without pain or disability, how blessed I am to be able to see and hear and walk and eat. I forget that this body of mine, with all its imperfections is a gift from You.

When I am critical of my appearance, remind me, God, that I am created in Your holy image. If I become jealous of someone else’s appearance, teach me to treasure my unique form.

Help me, God, to care for my body. Teach me to refrain from any action that will bring harm to me. If I fall prey to a self-destructive habit, fill me with the strength to conquer my cravings.

Lead me to use my body wisely, God. Guide my every limb, God, to perform acts of compassion and kindness.

I thank You, God, for creating me as I am. Amen.

Faithbooking

Hope everyone had a memorable EASTER!!!

Jim and I celebrated Easter on Saturday in Elizabeth, IL with his dad, Miles. Jim's sister, Janice and her husband, Ted were there too. It was really nice. Ted made our Easter dinner - Ham - just the way Mom Kahl use to make it!

On Sunday I relaxed and made scalloped potatoes with the "left over" ham. I decided to dedicate part of my day to studying scripture...I opened my Bible to 2 Peter 2. It was just what I needed to read. I also promised myself - NO INTERNET for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There was a lot of email to read today.

Today's blog topic word is: INSPIRATION!

I recently read this inspirational project idea...an article by Dawn Stegall:

What is faithbooking? While there are different definitions of what faithbooking means, it is simply incorporating your faith throughout your scrapbooks. A few common meanings may include:

A means to express our faith.
A journey of faith.
The ability to capture life's lessons that God teaches us.
An eternal legacy for our children.
A witnessing tool.
An incredible, permanent reminder of our God Moment and His hand in our lives.

Scripture, thoughts, prayers, blessings, memories, letters, and stories combines with our photographs to always remember our personal and spiritual journey with the Lord.

Why should you start faithbooking? Because we are commanded to. Throughout the Bible, we are commanded to remember. Remember the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord. Psalm 78:4 We are also told to teach. Teach them to your children...Dt. 4:9 Teach them the right way to live...1 Kings 8:36 There are many more scripture verses that tell us to remember and teach. What better way to remember and to teach then with faithbooking! Remember and teach through your journaling and scripture verses then enhance with photos and embellishments.

If you currently scrapbook, don't wait to finish your current scrapbook album to start faithbooking. For me, they are one in the same. I like to incorporate my faith throughout my scrapbooks as one. They are not two separate projects. Always start your faithbook in prayer. Then you can start simply by adding scripture and verses to capture the theme of the layout and then progress into journaling more thought provoking faith questions.

If scrapbooking is not your thing, then consider keeping a journal. Express your feelings on paper and then share the portions you want with others as you feel led. Remember there is not a right or wrong way to faithbook-just get started today!

BEAUTIFUL CHRISTIAN SISTER

A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting ''I'm clean livin'' I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain... I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou, I was just a sinner who received God's good grace by faith!
